  A social networking site is a website which allows people to share information  and socialize  over the the internet. Facebook, Instagram and Twıtter are some notable examples of social networking sites.

The usefulness of these sites  make them popular. people can use these sites to fınd their friends  with whom they have not communicated for a long  time. However, social networking sites are bad for our society since they make students receive lower grades and entice people to waste their time. 

                                                    

To begın wıth,students  who are heavy social media users tend to have lower grades since  they are always bothered with social media and so they do not have time  to study. Even if they intend to study, they are always distracted by  loads of notifications, messages. Thus, they cannot concentrate and study properly. As a result of this , students who keep usıng the socıal media  are more likely to have lower grades and social networking sites entıce people to waste their time.
