Not knowing how it is harmful to our health, junk food is something that people have been eating for a long time now. This type of foods are processed foods they have a higher level of fat, sugar, calorie, carbohydrates, and salt and they have a lower level of protein, vitamins, and minerals. Junk food is used as a source of relaxing, entertainment and emotional eating. Many people have junk food regularly and the use of junk food is increasing especially among young people. Some argue that junk food is a really harmful thing to have and others support the idea that if you just not consume that type of food everyday, that will be okay. From my point of view, junk food is harmful for us, because it might lead to serious health problems even if you do not consume that type everyday.
To begin with, junk food is harmful for us because it might lead to a variety of health problems. Many people who have this kind of unhealthy food frequently face some health issues like risk of obesity, digestion problems, heart disease and even cancer.
What is more, people who consume junk food regularly, tend to be more depressed. They do not prefer to go out a lot and they stay away from physical activities that keep them healthy. For this reason, they develop problems such as obesity and depression. Therefore junk food is harmful for humans.
